FFL1 Recap

In the Featured Matchup for Week 8 we saw two middle-of-the-pack teams go head to head. Austen's Astounding Team got pounded by AJ Down, dude. There's still light through the tunnel to the playoffs for both teams, though.

Tuddy Buddies notched yet another win, this time over his own father AKA GIT UR DUN. It wasn't by much, and it came late on Monday Night Football, but he got the job done and still sits at the top at 7-1, could this be his year?

Backfield Penetration got the best of Lambeau Forever, moving into second at 6-2. Lambeau sits just the opposite at 2-6 now.

Jaxon Jaxoff seems to have fallen off a tad, dropping another L to Freeling This, even though his team's interesting namesake showed out for him. Freeling This had a big showing from Bowers and gets the big dub to jump to 5-3 in 3rd place.

Henryless Levis gets the win over Perpetual Priapisms, who was short in the lineup department again this week (and we had a chat about that, so I'm hoping for more effort in Week 9). I don't want to discount a much-needed victory with a solid 130+ for Henryless Levis, though.

And last but not least, FSABS took the high score cash from the second-highest scorer in Week 8. That's a bad beat for I Like TDs, but that matchup came down to the wire, and was decided by only 8.3 points. Congrats to FSABS on the first high score of the season.

Week 9 Featured Matchups

Freeling This (5-3) vs Backfield Penetration (6-2)

Freeling This is in 5th place with 1 less win than Backfield Penetration, so pulling a victory off this week can mean big things for him, and less good things for Backfield Penetration.

AJ Down vs Jaxon Jaxoff

The #3 and #4 teams go head to head, both sitting at 5-3 (along with Freeling This). The winner will be amongst the top in the league, the loser, more in the log jam side of things.

FFL2 Recap

The Featured Matchup between Puka Dachewa and Taylor Swift's Boyfriend was decided by a mere 5.72 points! And Puka Dachewa came out on top. Close call!

Lamar the Merrier put up their lowest score of the season against the second highest scorer in Week 8... that's 171.12 from They've Hit the Second Bower. Lamar the Merrier's namesake put up a goose egg, and he may need to change the team's name depending on that injury diagnosis :/

The two Dolphins fans in this league duked it out in Week 8, and the older one came out with the win... by 6.04 points. Sheesh! Lots of closes matchups in Week 8. Season 2 Champ, Cloudy with Achane of Meatballs, is having their worst season yet, sitting at 2-6, while Smokin Fins having one of their best seasons in FFL2.

Jamar Swiftwalker laid the smackdown on No Place Like Mahomes late in Week 8. It WAS close at one point, but then it got out of hand with Swift's many points and many TDs.

The closest matchup of the season (I think?) goes to.... Who Darted vs Jonathan's Scary Team! Who Darted won by 0.13 points, and improved to 7-1... alll alone up there at the top of Fantasy Football Mountain. There are 2 wins separating him from the nearest contenders at this point in the season.

And last but not least, Say Hello to My Kittle Friend earned their first high score of the season with a FAT victory over Greg Heffley. He really needed that one, hopefully  he can turn it into a streak and make a run for the post season!

Week 9 Featured Matchups

Jamar Swiftwalker vs Puka Dachewa

3rd and 4th place go head-to-head, both teams sitting at 5-3 and looking for a chance at closing the gap between them and Who Darted.

Who Darted vs They've Hit the Second Bower

1st and 2nd place go head-to-head. They've Hit the Second Bower is one of 5 teams sitting at 5-3 right now, and he realllllly wants to lay one on his opponent to get out of that log jam craziness.
