FFL1 Recap
Ja'Marrvelous D*cker (117.4) embarrassed the Tuddy Buddies (107.44) with the win while having a zero in the lineup. It's not the way you want your team to get sent to 2-4, but that is how it goes sometimes.
I Like TDs (163.58) scooted on by GIT UR DUN (152.32). Skattebo's big game really helped with the victor in this case but GIT UR DUN had several players fall short of their projections, too. I Like TDs moves to 4-2 and GIT UR DUN is THEE bottom feeder at 1-5. 152.32 is a respectable score, too, and it was only 1.2 points less than last week where he got his first win of the season.
Backfield Penetration (107.2) jumps to 5-1 with the close victory over Henryless Levis (101.96). Drake London was a life saver with the 31.8 points for Backfield Penetration.
Fumblerooski (82.0) fell quite a bit short against Lambeau Forever (137.7). Lambeau has now won two in a row. Is he mounting the greatest FFL comeback of all time?!
I Strained McCaffrey (140.74) beat down the Season 1 FFL1 Champ in Week 6. The Perpetual Priapisms (105.84) barely broke 100, while I Strained McCaffrey keep trucking along as one of the only two teams at 5-1. He always complains about ending up with Cowboys players, but they were the two top scorers on his team. lol
And last but not least, Dora the Touchdown Scora (165.56) took down Season 2 FFL1 Champ Team FSABS Hart (110.82) with the help of Rico Dowdle, Smith-Njigba, and Bryce Young. Since he's a proud Panthers fan, that's gotta feel gooooood!! Oh yeah, and he gets the high score payout, so there's that... but not by much! Only 1.98 points separate him from I Like TDs for the money. ;) Nice work!
Featured Matchups for Week 7
Lambeau Forever vs Ja'Marrvelous D*cker
I know Ja'Marvellous D*cker was featured in last weeks "Featured Matchups" but I'm mostly here for the cinderella story of Lambeau Forever. Can he get three in a row?!
Week-by-Week High Scores
Week 1: Backfield Penetration (138.86)
Week 2: Ja’Marrvelous D*cker (191.42)
Week 3: Backfield Penetration (176.82)
Week 4: Team FSABS Hart (207.2)
Week 5: I Strained McCaffrey (181.68)
Week 6: Dora the Touchdown Scora (165.56)
FFL2 Recap
In one of the featured matchups, Tua's Trophy Fish (163.44) ran away with the big win in the big dog showdown of the week against Greg Heffley (105.34). But he's still 1 of 3 teams sitting at the top with a 5-1 record.
I'm 100% sure that there's no place that No Place Like Mahomes (132.08) would rather be than the win column given his luck. He's on quite the skid... 3 of his last 4 games were lost by less than a point... this one included. The guy has the worst luck, but GG to Jeanty & Juice (132.86) on the win, it was definitely the top notch trash talk going on early into the matchup that gave him the difference in this matchup lol.
The two featured matchups in FFL2 this week proved to be two VERY different stories.
Smokin Fins (117.1) is on the rise with a strong win over My Nabers (107.48) this week. My Nabers drops to 2-4 and Smokin Fins rise to 3-3.
In the Jack VS Jack matchup, Jackson's Finest Team (102.28) came out on top, making him one of the 3 teams at 5-1. Although he barely broke 100 points, the Lumberjacks almost set a new Abstract Sports FFL low on the season at 78.24.
It's getting to be spooky season and Jonathan's Scary Team (127.06) still can't seem to find their spooky gear. The Kittle Engine (158.74) jumps to 4-2 in this outing, with big ups from the RB squad.
And last but not least, the Tater Tuds (186.36) put up their highest score of the season AND the highest score of the week in FFL2 with all the help from the RB/WR/Flex positions. He jumps to 5-1 along with Tua's Trophy Fish and Jackson's Finest Team, while Tet's TDs (145.3) falls to 2-4.
Featured Matchups of Week 7
Lumberjacks (2-4) VS No Place Like Mahomes (1-5)
I feel like the storyline has shifted to the Battle of the Bottom Feeders. Obviously, eyes are on the three 5-1 teams and whether or not they can create separation from one another at the top, but No Place Like Mahomes is turning out to be a case study in "how to lose by less than one point in fantasy football" and I'm hooked. I don't know if it puts more pressure on those trying everything they can to get a win, or if it makes for good entertainment all around. Please let me know in the comments.
On top of this interesting near victory storyline, the Lumberjacks and No Place Like Mahomes are brothers, so this is a blood battle. That's always a good time.
