Week 4 Abstract Sports Fantasy Football League Recaps: More Injuries and the Byes are Rolling In

It seems that many teams put up their highest scores in Week 4 (and others scoring their lowest) but the overall season highs and lows stay the same this time around. There were definitely some injuries that will shake a couple teams up at the WR position, and with the first bye week in the mix, it's going to make for a fun waiver wire scramble going into Week 5.

FFL1 Recap

Henryless Levis (129.82) knocked the Tuddy Buddies (100.86) to .500 on the season, winning the Brotherly Showdown. The Tuddy Buddies couldn't complete the comeback on Monday night after losing Tyreek Hill with the gruesome leg injury. He also put up his lowest score of the season, and the lowest overall score across both leagues this week.

Backfield Penetration (142.98) is off to a hot start this week. He earned his 3rd win of the season while taking down Ja'Marrvelous D*cker (123.16) the only other high score cash grabber besides himself.

I Like TDs (150.64) got a decent win over Dora the Touchdown Scora (125.0) with a solid, all-around team performance. Dora the Touchdown Scora also lost Malik Nabers to a season-ending injury, which you obviously never want to see.

I Strained McCaffrey (172.66) has a big showing, thanks in part to his namesake. Lambeau Forever (119.62) drops to 0-4, but he's not the only one in the bottom of the barrel.

Fumblerooski (153.04) stuck it to the Perpetual Priapisms (136.2). His kicker was his 3rd highest scorer with 18 points, which is insane, but that was pretty much the different in this matchup.

Team FSABS Hart (207.2) put up the biggest score in FFL1 so far this season and comes away with the cold hard cash. He had a STRONG win over GIT UR DUN (176.28) who had the second highest score in the league this week. That's always a bad beat kind of feeling.

Week 3: Backfield Penetration (176.82)

Week 4: Team FSABS Hart (207.2)

FFL2 Recap

Coming off a victory with a 0.32-point margin in Week 3, the Tater Tuds (145.76) pulled off another close one against Jeanty and Juice (143.34), winning by only 2.42 points. I can tell you for a fact that he had chalked up this week as a loss going into Monday night, but was very surprised when the final score was set in stone (it was me, I'm the lucky SOB with the two close call Ws the last two weeks lol).

The stories just keep getting weirder and weirder. No Place Like Mahomes (161.9) was on the losing end of the matchup against the Tater Tuds last week, you know, the one with the 0.32-point margin that decided the victor like I just previously mentioned? Well, lightning struck twice and he gave up another loss in similar fashion to Jackson's Finest Team (162.58). No Place Like Mahomes has lost the last two weeks by a grand total of 1.0 point. Talk about a bad beat, that's gotta feel awful. In his defense, Jaylen Warren for the Steelers was listed as inactive at 6:10am his time on Sunday morning, just over an hour before kickoff at 7:30am. That's brutal.

Greg Heffley (124.66) earns a low-scoring DUB over Jonathan's Scary Team (112.52), officially putting him ahead of his two brothers in the same league at 3-1.

The Smokin Fins (123.48) put up too little too late with the loss of Tyreek Hill to season-ending injury, therefore giving Tet's TDs (163.76) a much needed win, putting him a 2-2 on the season.

In one of the few super close matchups in Week 4, the Lumberjacks (135.5) rode off into the sunset with a 6-point victory over The Kittle Engine (129.3). Both teams are now at .500 on the season so far.

And in the Featured Matchup of Week 4, the defending champion Tua's Trophy Fish (170.28) took down My Nabers (135.28) with the second highest score of FFL2 this season, earning the cash grab. My Nabers couldn't complete the comeback after losing part of his namesake to season-ending injury (Malik Nabers).

Which Down Teams Will Find Some Upside?

In Week 5, Smokin Fins and Jonathan's Scary Team are facing off at 1-3. Both teams really need a win to start making their way up the ladder here. We also have The Kittle Engine and Tet's TDs at 2-2, both wanting to jump above .500 and not fall below it.

Those are some FFL2 storylines to follow, but if I'm being honest, I kind of want to see if No Place Like Mahomes can get out of this narrow loss streak!

Week-by-Week High Scores

Week 1: Jackson’s Finest Team (163.6)

Week 2: My Nabers (225.98)

Week 3: Jackson's Finest Team (160.32)

Week 4: Tua's Trophy Fish (170.28)
