Week 3 Abstract Sports Fantasy Football League Recaps: Featuring Some Big Beatdowns and Some Narrow Nailbiters

Every matchup in FFL1 (except one) had decisive point margins, and all but one matchup in FFL2 were VERY close. We saw some higher scores this week, but not quite like we've seen in the past. Lambeau Forever (FFL1) is having a bad start to the season, putting up season lows across both leagues the last couple weeks. Meanwhile, we have repeat high scorers in BOTH leagues, so I guess you could say their seasons are starting off great, making their money back EARLY.

Week 3

Overall High Score
176.82 (Backfield Penetration FFL1)

Overall Low Score
76.7 (Lambeau Forever in FFL1)

Season

Overall High Score
225.98 (My Nabers FFL2)

Overall Low Score
76.7 (Lambeau Forever in FFL1)

FFL1 Recap

Funny enough, the featured teams for Week 3 all lost. This means there are no more undefeated teams, and still two defeated teams.

Dora the Touchdown Scora (116.42) just couldn't get any touchdowns out of their players, and the Tuddy Buddies (141.12) QB-WR connection finally showed up and that made the difference.

I Like TDs (139.68) got the easy win over the very low-scoring Lambeau Forever (76.7). I see some waiver wire drops/pick-ups in the future here.

I Strained McCaffrey (131.74) was able to deal the first L to Henryless Levis (105.4) who was one of the two undefeated teams going into Week 3. If Tre Tucker wasn't on the bench for this matchup, the outcome would be entirely different.

GIT UR DUN (96.38) just couldn't get anything going, while Fumblerooski's (148.96) ball-catchers were going off. This marks Fumblerooski's highest score this season and GIT UR DUN's lowest score this season.

The Season 2 FFL1 Champ in Team FSABS Hart (118.84) beat the defending champ Ja'Marrvelous D*cker (112.82) in one of the nailbiters of the week. It came all the way down to the wire on Monday night, talk about added excitement!

And in one of the highlight matchups of the week, Backfield Penetration (176.82) gets his second high score of the young season, earning free football... all while knocking off the Perpetual Priapisms (163.36), in what was actually a really close matchup in the end, featuring the two highest scores in FFL1 this week. This makes for zero undefeated teams in the league, so no real targets on anybody's backs anymore.

A Brotherly Showdown & High-Scoring Matchup Madness

The Tuddy Buddies take on Henryless Levis in the Brotherly Showdown this week. Both teams are 2-1 and there will for sure be some shit-talkin' going on in the family chat. May the best bruv win!

And we've got our only two high-score earners on the season facing off in Week 4. I'm curious to see if they will try to one-up each other and put on a score fest for us all to envy.

Week-by-Week High Scores

Week 1: Backfield Penetration (138.86)

Week 2: Ja’Marrvelous D*cker (191.42)

Week 3: Backfield Penetration (176.82)

FFL2 Recap

Our featured matchup for Week 3 did not disappoint. Going into Monday Night Football, Tater Tuds (95.88) had a 3.62-point lead over No Place Like Mahomes (95.56) with Zay Flowers left to play. He had a couple catches for a handful of yards, but it wasn't quite enough to pull off the seemingly in-the-bag comeback.

Jonathan's Scary Team (150.0) was scary enough this week to take down the highest score-getter on the season in My Nabers (133.02). This was a relatively even matchup all around, but My Nabers came 12 points under their projections, and Jonathan's Scary team went 20 over to earn their first win on the season.

Greg Heffley (131.22) got a close win over Tets TDs (120.32). Greg Heffley is lucky, honestly, because CeeDee Lamb exited the game early with an ankle sprain, leaving a goose egg in his starting lineup, but apparently it didn't matter this time.

The Kittle Engine (129.96) got the win over Jeanty & Juice (108.88) in a matchup that featured the biggest score differential across all matchups (but still wasn't much). Needless to say, Jeanty didn't have the juice this week. ;)

The Lumberjacks (129.74) smoked the Smokin Fins (115.32) in Week 3. The QB showdown in this matchup was wild, but the supporting cast showed up more for the Lumberjacks this time around.

And once again, Jackson's Finest Team (160.32) pops off for their second high score of the season in a big win over Season 1 FFL2 Defending Champion Tua's Trophy Fish (148.44). Tua's Trophy Fish was flabbergasted at the 50-points provided by Caleb Williams and the Bears defense, and his feelings are justified based on how the Bears have been in recent history. Crazier things have happened, but I'm beginning to think Jackson's Finest Team is the real deal the way they're raking in all that money.

Featured Matchups of Week 4

My Nabers VS Tua's Trophy Fish

These two teams are forces to be reckoned with in the early goings of the second season of FFL2. They're both 2-1 and have been putting up some crazy numbers lately. Let's see what they've got in Week 4.

Week-by-Week High Scores

Week 1: Jackson’s Finest Team (163.6)

Week 2: My Nabers (225.98)

Week 3: Jackson's Finest Team (160.32)
