Boogie's Pelicans Debut
Moments after the NBA All-Star Game ended, Demarcus "Boogie" Cousins was informed he was traded to the New Orleans Pelicans. As he sat down to talk to the media, who seemed to be his agent leaned in to give him the news.

Boogie reacted with a bit of shock at first but then put the smile back on for the media.
He had a heartfelt goodbye as he made the transition from Sacramento to New Orleans. He has nothing but love for the city of Sacramento, as he mentioned several times. He understands the NBA is a business and this is just part of the process. It seemed like he had a great time over the all-star weekend, and you can't help but think that he's looking forward to dominating the paint with Anthony Davis.

Looking ahead to the NBA Playoffs, the top seven seeds are most likely moving on. However, the eighth seed is up for grabs for about six different teams, the Pelicans being in the middle of that pack. The Pelicans are only 2.5 games back from the Denver Nuggets, with the Kings (awkward) and Trail Blazers between them.
With two of the best big men in the league since the Twin Towers, along with a decent point guard in Jrue Holiday, the Pelicans could make a legendary push to that eighth spot.
The last leg of the season following All-Star Weekend is always exciting to watch. After big trades like Boogie to New Orleans happen, the playoff picture begins to morph into something awesome. I can't wait to see what happens!
In the meantime, you will want to tune in to watch Boogie's debut tonight in New Orleans against the Houston Rockets, a team that just acquired former Lakers' guard Lou Williams in exchange for Corey Brewer. I know I'll be watching!
